Position Name: Sales Director


We are working on a confidential search for a Sales Director. This position is with a Tier I automotive supplier of chassis systems and components and it will be a based in the metro Detroit area.

We are targeting individuals that have a proven track record successfully selling into, managing, and growing business with the OEMs.

Key responsibilities will include:

*Lead the relationship with OEM customers

*Orchestrate and implement the pursuit of and successful acquisition of new customer business

*Create and maintain a customer specific overall long term strategic business plan

*Champion the customer internally

*Manage and develop the Account Managers and Technical Representatives

*Secure and organize resources, including people and materials needed to solve customer technical and production problems

*Manage the financial elements of the business at the customer interface

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree

* 10+ years total experience in automotive sales

* Established relationships with the OEMs

* Experience with chassis or powertrain systems and components

* Previous supervisory experience

* Strong leadership skills and coaching skills

* Strong communication skills

* Self-motivated and self-directed

Location: Southfield, Michigan
Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000 + bonus + car
