Position Name: Business Development Manager


Our client is a supplier of fluid handling and thermal management systems and components. Due to growth in their business they have a need for a Business Development Manager. This is a direct-hire position and it will be based in the metro Detroit area.

This position is responsible for driving new product development for the NAFTA region, by identifying, developing, and growing new business, while assisting in maintaining current business with the OEMs. This may include cultivating customer relationships, ongoing sales analysis & planning, market development, and product management.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Lead and manage new business pursuits, and coordinate with multiple internal organizations

* Assess market potential for new products (i.e., volume, pricing, adoption)

* Identify, understand, and communicate customer needs

* Lead and/or participate in customer new opportunity proposal development

* Prepare and present business cases to drive new product development

* Gain support to launch products into new and existing markets

* Support trade shows and symposiums

* Provide customer and competitor intelligence necessary to win business

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree

* 5+ years market development / business development / sales experience in the automotive industry

* Experience with fluid handling and/or thermal management solutions

* Strong communication skills

* Self-motivated and self-directed

Location: Troy, Michigan
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + bonus + car
