Chief Architect (Software/System)

This position requires +15 years of progressive engineering experience as chief systems architect in the Internet & IT industries. The candidate is a senior software technologist, an expert with recognized industry stature in location-based mobile advertising technologies and has a thorough understanding of the SaaS architecture. The candidate is a team player and has a history of working well with an over-achieving management group. This individual is by nature a risk-taker, has high level of ambition and unquestioned integrity. This is a hands-on role (initially) which includes architecture development in addition to code design (should be a competent coder and enjoy doing it). Past experience in building scalable, highly available and reliable platforms for real-time applications is required. Occasional overseas travel is expected. Competency in Java, J2ME, C, C++, Mobile Web, LAMP, PHP, MySQL, Python, JavaScript, SOAP, XML, XHTML, Open Source technologies expected. Previous experience at startup operations is preferred. An MS or PhD (preferred) in CS or EE from a leading engineering school is required. Past employment at companies like eBay, Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Sun Microsystems is preferred.
